The service
Al-wesam is a system for managing sales, point of sale, purchases, inventory, customers, expenses, accounting and reports, with an optional online storefront for each business. The service evolves continually and we may add or change features.
Accounts
- There is no public self-registration. The Al-wesam team creates the business owner's account with a temporary password, and the owner then sets up the business inside the system.
- The owner is responsible for the users they add and the permissions they grant.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for telling us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
- Information given when opening an account must be accurate.
Subscription and payment
- The service is provided on a monthly or annual subscription at the price agreed with you; a free trial may be offered for the period stated in your offer.
- If a subscription ends without renewal, a grace period with notices begins, followed by a read-only period, after which the system is locked until renewal. These periods vary by plan.
- A business's data is not deleted because its subscription ended. It can be exported before the lock, and a renewal payment proof can still be submitted while locked.
- Any refunds are governed by what is agreed in the subscription offer.
Your business data
- Data the business enters belongs to it. The business permits us to process it only as needed to provide the service, under the Privacy Policy.
- The business is responsible for the lawfulness of the data it enters, including its customers' and suppliers' data, and for obtaining any consent required.
- We keep backups of the service, and we recommend that businesses export their important reports regularly.
Offline use and sync
The mobile and desktop apps can perform many operations offline and send them to the server when the connection returns. Unsynced operations exist only on that device until synced, so devices must connect to the internet regularly. At sync time the server may reject an operation that breaks the business's policies or the user's permissions.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for any unlawful activity, or to record fictitious transactions for fraud or evasion;
- try to access another business's data, or bypass permissions or the subscription lock;
- disrupt the service, security-test it without our written permission, or scrape it at volume;
- copy or resell the system, or reverse-engineer its apps;
- publish unlawful or misleading products or content in the business's storefront.
Subscriber storefronts
The merchant alone is responsible for the products, prices, images and videos in its storefront and for fulfilling orders. Orders take place directly between the visitor and the merchant over WhatsApp; Al-wesam is not a party to the sale and handles neither payment nor delivery.
Responsibility for figures
Al-wesam is a tool for organising work and computing results from the data entered; it is not accounting, tax or legal advice. The business is responsible for the accuracy of what it enters, for reviewing its reports, and for its tax and legal obligations.
Availability
We work to keep the service available and stable, but we do not guarantee it will run without interruption or errors. We may pause it for maintenance or updates and aim to announce planned downtime in advance.
Intellectual property
The system, its apps, design, name and logo belong to Al-wesam. A subscription grants you the right to use the service for your business during its term, without transferring any ownership.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or business interruption, arising from using or being unable to use the service, and our total liability does not exceed what the business paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim.
Suspension and termination
- A business can end its subscription by not renewing or by contacting us.
- We may restrict or suspend an account for breach of these terms or non-payment, with notice where possible.
- After termination the business owner can ask for the business's data to be deleted under the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms and will tell businesses about material changes in the app or by e-mail before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
